Dr. Robert Della Valle as executive vice president and

R. Scott Jones as senior vice president of marketing
and sales. Previously, he held the same position at Pharmacy
Corporation of America. He received his master's of science
degree in biomedical engineering from Pennsylvania State

Laurie Forrester as vice president of clinical
services, where she will be responsible for developing and
directing clinical and consulting services for all segments of
the pharmacy business. She was previously vice president of
clinical services at Capstone. She is currently president of
Pharmacy Advancement Inc.
Volunteers of America named James H. Rogers president
and CEO for Volunteers of America National Services, its housing
and healthcare division based in Alexandria, Va. He formerly
served as president and CEO of Roper CareAlliance, a
not-for-profit healthcare system in Charleston, S.C. Rogers has a
master's of health sciences from George Washington University and
serves on the board of the Long Term Care Foundation.
John J. Kernaghan as vice president and chief
information officer. He was previously with Pharmacy Corporation
of America where he held the same position. He completed course
work at the University of New Mexico, Widener University and
Southern Connecticut State College.
Marja McKinnon Staub was appointed Midwestern regional
marketing director for ARV Assisted Living Inc. She will be
responsible for community relations, special projects and the
development and implementation of marketing programs for ARV's
assisted-living communities in the Cincinnati area, Indiana and
Michigan. Staub was previously project manager at VITAS
Healthcare Corp. She holds a bachelor's from Youngstown State
University.
Lutheran Services Northeast named Susan M. Kayhart
assistant director of nursing for Lutheran Home at Topton's Henry
Health Care Center. She will be responsible for the supervision
and direction of nursing staff and will serve as infection
control coordinator for the Topton Campus. Kayhart has been with
Lutheran Home since 1981 and received her LPN from Reading
Muhlenberg Vocational-Technical School.
CareMatrix Corp. announced the appoinment of Sheila
Schoening to director of marketing for Coventry Park, a
169-apartment senior-living community in San Francisco and will
open in the summer of 1998. Previously, she served as director of
marketing for five senior-living complexes operated by The
Hillsdale Group. Schoening is an active volunteer for the
Alzheimer's Association, Stanford University, the American
Association of University Women and her local Kiwanis club.
